Hi I’m Makaiya, the founder of Studio117. I created Studio117 as a space to share my creative work and foster meaningful global connections through the universal languages of art and culture. This blog is dedicated to exploring the intersections of ethical travel, sustainability, and cultural exchange, with the goal of inspiring more thoughtful, responsible, and collaborative ways of engaging with the world.

My passions include travel, anthropology, sustainability, graphic design, photography, and music. These all deeply influenced my curiosity about how art, culture, and history shape our shared human experience. Every journey I take, whether through a new city, a museum, or a cultural initiative, informs my creative perspective and fuels my desire to highlight stories that connect us across borders.
